What motivated you to start your own business?

We were driven by the need to determine our own destiny both creatively and financially. The best part of running your business is that it is one of the most challenging, rewarding, and stressful things you’ll ever do. It is a completely different ball game from relying on someone else for a steady paycheck.

How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?

The team is comprised of highly qualified managers with 80 years of collective experience in architecture, one of the founders is an internationally recognised architect.

How has the Siyakha Programme assisted you in achieving your business goals?

It assisted us with focusing on our broader market, business development and formalising our business plan. The growth of the business has been amazing over the past 6 months.

We currently have 45 employees.

We have created employment opportunities for 45 people and with the projected growth of the business we hope that we increase this number and we have been fortunate enough to be involved in projects that have the potential to change the lives of South Africans within the following sectors :

To what do you attribute to your success?

We attribute our success to the dedication and expertise of our workforce, which includes permanent employees who are highly qualified and experienced, including a passionate and determined management team.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Turnover is vanity and cashflow is reality. Understand your business in totality, every decision must be deliberated and look at the long-term implications.

Where do you see your business in the next year? In the next five years? The next ten years?

In the next year is to consolidate and refocus on the sustainability of the business for the future.

How do you stay motivated as an entrepreneur?

Our dedicated staff and great client base, which have made it easier for us as a business meet some of our business goals.
